Stew is great-really don't need a recipe.Just put your meat and veggies in the pot,season,and add some stock;wine,beer or rum..simmer awhile and mmmmm good eats.

I agree. The only problem with searing is the meat is usually overcooked by the time the stew is done :(
But boy, those bits from the pan...yum
