I agree, I've found them to be more on the Death Metal side with quite some Doom influences (at least from Summerian Cry to Clouds), though said influences are pretty heavy in Clouds, that's probably why I mostly like them.

Er I beg to differ,sir,but Slayer mostly play fast thrashy songs. The Sleeping Beauty obviously has doom influence.
