who is the state to say that marriage, which is a religious ceremony, is between homosexuals have the right to marry. dont get me wrong i think they should be able to be legally bonded but marriage is between a man and a woman. The state has no right to tell the church who they have to marry and they have no right to be involved in marriage. now marriage is looked at as an economic binding rather than between two people who love each other.

I ask because Marriage has always been a Christian sacramental union created/defined by God for the good of the spouses and procreation of children. Marriage is only for Christians? I think not. Other religions marry and so do folks who claim no allegiance to a religion. Do you see how egotistical you are in your views?

you do push your religion upon liberals, you take away peoples rights, just because its against your religion! im christian, and i think gay marrige is wrong, but who am i to take away someones rights just because its agiant my religion? that just not american, i beleive that we should have the exact same rights. some people make it seem similar when people are hating black people and they think we should take away their rights to, which is bull just like taking away gays rights!!

I know plenty of gays, and that characterization is offensive. They are not intolerant of faith and worship, what, are they all athiests? Marriage is available to people of non-Christian religions and even athiests, it's government sanctioned and you need a license to get legally married, proof of Christianity not required. Keep your Holy Matrimony and let everyone else who wants to get married get married.

I don't hate gays. . but why are they so hung up on having everyone call their unions a "marriage" if they already have all legal rights? Why don't gays just make up their own religion, set the rules and come up with their own word for whatever their union is? Why steal the word from Christians and get mad when we refuse to accept it?

Marriage is not, and never has been a function of government. Homosexuals already can get married...walk means walk...talk means talk...marriage is husband and wife. Why dont they invent another nonsensical word like homo-phobia? Because they clearly are hateful and intolerant of faith, worship and a society that places values on things beyond self-indulgent, self-serving, un-natural behavior. They cannot win in arena of thought, so they hope to kidnap it?
