Here is a question for you. Did god create language? If so, which language did he create? Did he create modern english even though we can document the, if you will, evolution of the language over the past few hundred years? Or is language not the sort of thing that god creates, and if so, why not?

your friend may not know that Jesus says in Matthew 5 that if you hate a person it is worthy of the same penalty as murder. I have a hard time not hating people that I think are "bad" or do things "bad" to me. Wouldn't you agree? Despite this all x-ians struggle with a real heart of forgiviness to people who wrong them. To say if it wasn't for God I would be "bad" ignores that we are still bad. However, to say if it wasn't for God I would be hellbound as a result of my sin is fair.

God made all of creation that includes people if the all knowing and all powerful God makes a plan I think that plan will be superior to any other goal. Any attempt to foil Gods plan should be corrected/eliminated by God.

I think Dawkins is well aware of Christian theology and thus is insinuating that Christian "altruism" is a facade for a selfish fear.

But now that I think about it, do you know about lawrence Kohlbergs theory of moral development? According to him this state of fear is where our moral development begins... I'd write more but my kohlbergian theory is a little rusty. lol
