i don't think she's preaching though. i think she's just opening our eyes up to the reality of how it is. i personally think the more awareness we have about world poverty, the better- regardless of the form it takes. plus, how many artists do you know that ACTUALLY sacrificed a music video to do this?

don't get me wrong, I love her music...but unless she is giving all her money away to charity she shouldn't be too preachy...and unless she is the rare musician, she probably became famous working in studios for record companies that put a lot of money toward her success

I'm alive because my parents took care of me until I could take care of myself. I survive in the world because I have determination and the will to live. I don't fight for life on a daily basis but if I did it wouldn't be with God's help. Have my home because I work for it, have clean water to drink because of Costco and have ordinary food to eat because of restaurants and supermarkets. Still have nothing to thank God for.

I can thank my parents chromosomes for my healthy body and human evolution for my advanced brain. I still have nothing to thank God for (assuming he/she exists).
