not really theyre working hard to find a replacement the m4's service in iraq isnt very satisfactory because of the constant jamming and lack of stopping power

I understand what you are saying but the recoil from a 12 gauge will knock a skinny guy on his arse. The problem with the 5.56 is that it dont have the punch effect of the 7.62 or even 9mm at close range.Its too small a round. Iv seen the videos on here of guys being hit in the front trauma shield and getting knocked to the ground cause the round didnt penertrate, so it depends on range, size of the round, cartridge size and the body mass of your target. I wouldnt wanna test this theory tho lol

Hornady,Remington & Silver State Amory all make ammo for the 6.8 SPC. the cartridge is designed to work best in the M4 16" barrel.the cartridge is based off the old .30 Remington.i know DPMS & Rock River make civilian models.

i wish they would make up there minds ive been hearing about this 6.8mm spc round to replace the old 5.56 for two years but still don't see remington selling in any stores yet

naaw dude u have to think...the shooter is stopping himself from going back...the target doesn't prepare himself to get hit it's like getting tackled by ur friend when u know he's coming or preparing urself to get hit by him..simple preparation for shooting when ur in a firefight i highly doubt the soldiers r sitting there planting their foot on the ground waiting to get hit and i doubt the terrorist do teh same..they are trying not to get shot and kill the enemy so ur not prepared and u fall.

no. lol oh geeze no. the 243 is a civillian round. and build around the 308 envolope (it is a 308 catridge).
