I don't get the idea of this video. Is it calling into question the legacy of Darwin or celebrating it?

Eugenics under this definition would have killed my intellectually disabled mum, so I would not have been born - I'm halfway through a university doctorate. Plus as someone below rightly pointed out, eugenics would have decreased diversity so if taken to its logical conclusion there would have to be inbreding, and we all know how that works out.

i think eugenics has a major flaw. it is decided by humans (who have a reputation for being imperfect), i think it would lead to the varity being reduced therefore our chances of suvival reduced if conditions change.

once a species is sentient self-aware and capable of fre wil,moral choice it is genetic diversity not eugenics or "survival of the fittest" that cause evolution.The survival of the fittest part of evolution may have gotton us here but it doesnt take precedenc in where were going.
