now there is another term called the New Right. its referring to the conservative movement of Ronald Reagan. they were against the foreign policy of non-interventionist of the Old Right (the anti New Dealers). They adopted the "spread democracy" policy from the Old Left but are for a LIMITED welfare state and the progressive tax. so really it looks like both side totally mix match each other's policies. amazing.

Neoconservatism is the "Old Left".Woodrow Wilson and FDR for example.They were the "New Dealers" that wanted to "spread democracy".Neocons are NOT conservatives. conservatives are for family traditional values (religious right), free-market,and for small government.more closely related to "classical liberalism". just how liberals hijacked the word "liberal" from Thomas Jefferson, Locke, Adam Smith. conservatives hijacked "conservative" from the Old Left. |
