any clean fabric works -- jeans materials, tshirt, etc - just look at the weave of the fabric closely, what you see is the pattern or hatchmark impression it will leave on the surface.

the mac palettes have a metal plate backing -- so the only way it will keep the pan in, is adding a magnet in the base.

hey paige - 70% works fine just allow a little longer time to dry. NYX pigments are fine milled, so you need the MM method on that. For the pans, both starsmakeuphaven and coastalscents now carry pans that fits mac palettes.
