"calling Dream Theater a ripoff of Muse is just stupid since Dream Theater has been producing music for so much longer". but I really dont agree with that. I mean, I dont think DT is ripping off MUSE I think it's great that they draw influence from bands and admit to it, but it does'nt make sense to say a band cant rip off another just because they have been making music longer. it does however make sense to say they wont rip off cuz they're DT !! ;)

In my opinion I don't like that they release live albums after every studio release.Just my opinion.

Nope..Their songwriting hasn't gone to shit since FiI. In fact, that's the album that everyone started doubting their songwriting capabilities and inspiration..then SFAM was written and is some of their best work to date. I don't believe they are fighting each other's ego's either..because it seems they all have an equal part (except LaBrie) in what's written. Also, Rudess is just a different type of keyboardist than Moore or Sherinian are..which also accounts for the change in songwriting.

I don't understand why all you guys do is bitch all the time. We all like music and we all have different tastes in music, so why argue about it? No one is "right" in this situation. So what if you're a "metal elitist", pull your head out of your ass. DT is an awesome band. They try different flavors on each album, but always maintain the art and musicianship that make them Dream Theater. If you don't like it, get over it and go wack off to your elitist music.
