Actually I agree with you- my mother was lucky- she married twice and both men loved her so passionately- but I meant to add that- that I do agree that love is everything- but it must be beautiful like my mother had- that is what I meant- it has to be incredibly beautiful - but your comments are very nice- thank you- you made me think!!!

Great song. I do like his music.Some time back around 1976 75 when i lived in Houston Texas i was able to see him play. 30 years + later I still enjoy his music

That was deep.. I think that line of thought works ok for a woman, not for man though. But if you're 19 as your nick indicates, dont worry, you'll find someone soon enough, I'm sure =) And if you're older, same thing hehe, it doesnt matter how old you are, really.. But i sincerely doubt that a person can be entirely happy without someone else to love.. love is everything, I think.

I am happy!!! Sometimes it is not easy for others to accept that one can be happy without a certain someone- My mum taught me that life is too precious to waste on tears- anyone who causes me tears is not my future- as love is about respect- kindness and beauty- I choose to be happy and to be alone if that is my fate then so be it but at least I know what I can expect if I make wise choices- as I could not be with someone who just wanted to upset me or hurt me all the time.

Such an eloquent song. The lyrics and wisdom in this song should be passed down to every father and son. Children and teenagers sometimes view their parents as disciplinaries when they tell them to listen. Hoewever, the "wisdom" in their parents words is because they have blazed the trail before and know through mistakes, etc. Although is this day and age it is so important to "get it" at an early age as the challenges of life are real and parents will not be there forever, if at all.

I am 30 now, when I was 16 yrs old I thought my father was a silly man. Now I understand what a wise man he was. I should try to listen to my parents. How silly I am. Everyone should respect their parents.
