u can commit to becoming a better person or get over a problem w/o having to pray. if it helps u, great, but is it possible to be a coincident? ever heard of placebo? they work too, most doctors admit to give patients sugar pills to treat some illness.

1. its not 50% god might exists 50% he might not, its not like flipping a coin.
2. its up to the believer to prove something exist, not the person not believing.-> can u prove zeus doesnt exist? etc.
3. if there is a god, which god is correct? there are hundreds of different religion.
4. do u believe in god, or does ur consistence exposure led u to it.
5. tests were conducted on prayers that shows it doesnt do anything, just a waste of time.

I was enjoying the dicussion until you claimed that you can prove god exists.
So, by your logic, I could prove that there isn't a god by:
When someone is struggling with a sin, prays about it and doesn't get over it.
But that's not a real proof.
In the same was as the opposite.

In the begging God created the heavens and the earth. Gen 1.1 God created the earth and the heavens i would think space and universes would fall in the category of the heavens.
But does God really need to give every single and particular event that happened to satisfy you? Did he need to name every created animal one after the other? You cant expect him to explain EVERY LITTLE THING because honestly none of us would probably understand it. And no im sure he did not forget

You can prove it. when someone is struggling with a sin and prays about it and gets over it it is proven. When someone is a bad person and they change their ways it is proven. Like me for example i have had problems that i was unable to get over but when i prayed i got over it. When someone changes for the better and they are able to control the way their actions yes the Lord is real. He is real because he lives in me and makes me a better person.
I know he is real. But yeah no prob.

My point, again, is that you can't proove if there is or isn't a god. But things in organised religion (not just christianity) have been prooved wrong (Like the stories).
Anyway that is my whole point in point form:
Can't say there is or there isn't,
but assuming things unjustly is wrong.

I'm not going to claim it is prooven against, but if it was prooven that there was a god (even the christian one) if it was proven, I'd beleive in it.
If god did tell people he made the world, then they wrote that down.
But then we discover space, people claim god meant he created the universe?
What if we discover more- like parallel universes?
Did god forget to say that? |
