I think both versions ("you cant love who you want"... or"Love how you want to love"...) are valid. The first one is more shocking and shows how our society makes harder the existence of a gay person, the second one also shows it and pass the message "even though you are living in a difficult world you CAN love how you want to love and how you please". I dont think this second purpose is something superficial.

Me too, I like that versionn better than this one really. Has more feel to it than this one, it seems kinda superficial and thinking of the theme it shouldn't be superficial.

The version I know is more "ethnic" sounding than this one, and the chorus goes "homophobia, the worst disease, you cant love who you want to love in times like these"... odd...

oh dear god, why does every single video that has even the slightest link to homosexuality have to turn into an arguement. the banned heinz advert with the kiss that was between a man and his wife where the wife was represented by a man and now this!!! jus give up!! gay people are gonna stay gay no matter how much you try and beat it out of us!!!
