i agree. i also think that trey getting arrested was the best thing for him. if he didnt go to jail, he would have continued to spiral out of control and we probably wouldn't have phish again as we do now.

i'm going with '98 as well, this earlier stuff sounds too raw for me. they really learned how to build up the climaxes in the later 90's (94-98) but to each his own...

i hope they learn when to say when, and not to quit doing what they were doing altogether. in other words,

Its kinda funny. Their best musical compositions have the worst lyrics(i.e. 'Fluffhead'). Maybe, I'm just closed-minded, but my favorite album is Farmhouse. However, when I go to a show, give me YEM! Can't wait for 2009 tour dates. Phish is back!

Unfortunately true. They still have the physical ability to play their more difficult songs with proper training and practice. I just hope they see that and eliminate drugs from their repertoire...especially Trey. |
