I know what you're sayin' dude,
These guys were so underrated, but they put out some awesome songs and no one saw these guys beyond "everything about you" and "Cats in the cradle". Ugly Kid Joe should come back!

such an underrated band...pigeon holed by a novelty hit (everything about you) then a hit with a cover (cats in the cradle).no one ever took these guys seriously, but they were so on point musically. saw them in 1995 for 3 bucks ! one of the funnest shows I've ever been to.

i preffered this band to most at that time,i remember indy starting to take over and these guys were the last of decent rock bands

You're welcome to your own opinion. I was trying to be intelligent and grown up by comparing in a fair way but then I suppose what did i expect of youtube?
ThazuaBlackarrow (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
Wrong.
Avenged have a more shitty style called "Shit".
containznutzrule (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
Really? I think Avenged Sevenfold have a more sing along melodic style, this is more sort of scrappy raw attitude (my opinion anyway). I've seen avenged live, but i wish i had seen UKJ, sigh...

I'm a big Pearl Jam and Soundgarden fan, but come on UKJ is Hard Rock and i think nearly everybody agrees that Nirvana is the synonym for grunge even if they were more radio friendly as Mudhoney, Alice In Chains or Screeming Trees.
By the way, grunge isn't a term for a music style. The term was used by a Seattle record company to promote the Seattle rock bands. Later people added STP, Silverchair etc. to this term because their sound was simlar to a band from Seattle. |
