(c) David Gilmour Music Ltd http://www.davidgilmour.com Buy From Amazon: http://tinyurl.com/2brb83 Released by EMI Records on Monday 17 September, the double DVD contains over five hours of viewing, including an on-the-road documentary and guest appearances by David Bowie and Robert Wyatt. One critic described David Gilmour's 'On An Island' Royal Albert Hall concert, as 'a near-perfect gig, where the magic kept coming, as did the surprises'. Now music fans, who may have missed the 2006 tour, get a chance to share in that magic, with the release of this double DVD, lasting more than 5 hours, which includes the rave reviewed London concert with special guest appearances from David Bowie, Robert Wyatt, David Crosby and Graham Nash as well as 2 hours and 40+ minutes of extras, notably an amazing fly on-the-wall documentary following Gilmour and his band on tour. A 20-page booklet accompanies the DVD. The two and a half hour concert features band members Richard Wright of Pink Floyd, Phil Manzanera of Roxy Music, new boy Steve DiStanislao on drums, plus Pink Floyd regulars Dick Parry, Guy Pratt and Jon Carin.

common now, Roger was decent without David. The pros and cons albums has some solid licks from Clapton. But one of Roger's best talents was using the VERY talanted and creative David Gilmour as a vehicle to get his messeges across. The best song on the final cut(roger's first "solo" album) is "not now John"..That song is all about david's guitar and his intense singing.. As for this song...It sounds unreal. The album version is dope, but David sounds weird singing..Here he sounds unreal.

You know what, Syd doesnt have half the talent Gilmour has anyway, i mean, i like barretts stuff, but its not on the same level. You're making up alot of stories here to defend ur idiotic statements. Gilmour is hardly greedy with all his charity work. Why dont you go and listen to 'Bike' over and over again then pop in Radio Kaos since you cant take Waters cock out of your mouth. Really, it annoys me when retards come on here re-writing history to defend their bullshit opinions

you're a fucking idiot. where you getting your facts from? Yeh, it was all Gilmour and Mason that forced him out, Waters had nothing to do with it because hes just great.

its about MUSIC, if its just about lyrics he cant write a book. Echoes is floyds most epic song, with music mostly coming from Gilmour and Wright, alot of people would argue Comfortably Numb is the greatest, well that is entirely Gilmours music. You cant change history to suit waters ya tosser

Carry on sucking waters cock, you know fuck all about Floyd. Notice how the music deteriorated as Gilmour and the other members became less involved, the final cut isnt a floyd album, and radio kaos and the pros and cons are shit. I dont give a fuck if Waters can write,

dongal ur a fucking clown, floyd were never a big success under Syd so why was is greedy to use the floyd name without them? No-one forced him out the band, he fucked his own head up with drugs, why dont you read nick masons book and learn something about floyd u fuckind idiot.

where as the guy who said gilmour was behind all the music is totally wrong (Gilmour had little or no involvement in any track except dogs, the best one i might add). But the other guy is taking out his ass saying the other 3 were greedy to keep going, Gilmour donates a fair share of his cash to charity and he, mason and wright simply didnt want to let waters bully them into retiring floyd. AMLOR is also better than waters dreadful first two solo efforts

1. Dogs of War is from Momentary Lapse, Waters wasn't in the band. 2. Waters wrote the concept behind Animals, but Gilmour states that its almost his album completely, as he was behind nearly all the music. 3. Waters was nothing without Gilmour.
