I suggest you to listen "Rising" composed by a group called "Rainbow" that were composed by Ritchie Blackmore, Jan Gillian, Ronnie James Dio and some other good rocker...it is wonderful...

'April' represents the genius of Jon Lord. He's coming to our town in march with 'Concerto for Group and Orchestra'. I can't wait to see/hear him! :D

Their first 3 albums-Shades of Deep Purple, The Book of Taliesyn, Deep Purple-are quite experimental. Check them out! Anyway, it's a shame that many bands are judged by their biggest hit. DP is not Smoke on the Water, The Rolling Stones is not I can't get no and Black Sabbath is definitely not Paranoid. These bands have reached much higher. Or Look at Alice Cooper, people just think about Poison, while his first 5-6 albums have very little common with heavy metal, they are deeply psychedelic.

This sounds really psychedelic to me. I wasn't aware of Deep Purple made works like this, i simply considered them a mere hard rock band in the 70's. I guess Smoke on the Water kind of spoiled their image as a band. This song is simply extraordinary though. And it inspired zelda music! ha
