God did not write the Bible... It was writtenby ordinary people...of the time and they...like all people are flawed so they were exposed to the rape, pillaging, murder, senseless punishment...blah blah blah blah

The bible has too many evil things in it to be left as the tome of moral instruction to our descendants. Rape, pillaging, murder, senseless punishment(death for sassin' your mother?!?), the sex trade, and slavery are all condoned in the bible. In fact it contains detailed instructions on how to do it. It teaches jealousy, divisiveness, hatred, and sometimes love. Why not cut out the fat and teach just love? That is what most modern Atheists want. Morality without hypocrisy, harm and guilt.

They WERE born at the EARLIEST, 60 years after he died. Even the church acknowledges this although they say that it is an "accounting" of eyewitness events written well after the fact. Since there is no evidence of his miracles, of anyone having first hand contact with him, fishing with him or any of the things that you mentioned. Only the bible says this. You can't verify a book with the writings of that same book. Maybe harry Potter is real, Harry potter says he is! |
