so nice to finally see this guy in action. never knew he used fingers instead of pick or that he controlled the whammy the way he does. Eric Johnson says Beck virtually created the bending technique that emulates a synthesizer roller wheel. always thought he did it by pulling the strings. i still love his work on Stevie Wonder's Talking Book album, especially his unforgettable solo on "Looking For Another Pure Love."

Yeaaaa I'll be going to see young Jeff when he get's here in January :)Got my ticket yesterday. Missed him last time because I was in Europe. That was the year Elvis died :( which actually put a bummer on the whole year as far as I was concerned but hey I'll finally get to see Jeff at last :)

Steve Hackett mastered that technique long before Stanley Jordan was around. Just check out some of the early Genesis stuff.
