There is good music nowadays also...Coldplay, Damien Rice, Keane (And A-ha) etc. keeps a decent level, but I understand where you are heading. The 80's had soul... The MTV/The Voice-music is just sad :/

"some 80s bands are better than modern ones" A-ha is still making music, so if you want, I strongly reccomend you check out some of their newer stuff. Among many excellent songs you should check out here on youtube is "lifelines". It's magic!
