Nope,.. i can choose my own programming language, have full os control and i can even login with ssh (i have my own server) appengine is great but has its limits. i am not going to shut up because i am right and you are wrong (in this case).

I dont understant why you comment is so negative, sounds logical !! to me. i whish the google huggers can explane them self's.. I think they all want a job with google so they kiss up, or their are already working at gooogel

What are you kidding I used one of those photo's in a court case, googel maps didnt show what was needed, also many towns are using the photo's along with the tax maps, something that can never be done with Google E, I dont know how the pics were taken but they cover vast areas and they are very usefull. lololol I know you guys want to stick up for the underdog, but come on be real!

Use Django which can be deployed in a bunch of environments and basically plugs into Google App Engine... The IP issues are non-existent, of course you own your own code. Python is a fine choice for a web scripting platform, but other languages are coming.
