Actually, most people eat more *veggies* after starting Atkins than before - about twice as much. Someone did a study about it. I know I eat far more veggies now than I did before.
And "eating all the fat you want" isn't as much as you think. Fat fills you up so you want to eat less. So eating "all the fat you want" or "as much as you desire" is overall less than you ate before, hence the weight loss. :)

you dont get it.. he is not even an expert on nutrition.. get real. His diet is based on FAT... dont you hear the words.. they actually say... EAT ALL THE FAT YOU WANT. .
my goodness... for somebody who is 'smart'- you are being ignorant.. this diet is unhealthy and crazy.. it promotes horrible eating choices

As long as my cholesterol tests are good I see no long term effects.
And anyway, Atkins is not about bacon and eggs. Try getting the facts and maybe you won't spout such misinformation.
