But how could you reject such an all powerful omniscient and benevolent being who has given us this world and our lives filled with disease, warfare, poverty, dissatisfaction, and death? He loves us so much that he promises that after we suffer miserably on Earth, we might get a chance to exist for the rest of all time by his side. Or go to Hell. So how could you reject such an almighty and amazingly kind being? I mean, our reality is so consistent with there being a God.

Well, how are you madhatter? Have a nice Thanksgiving? Okay, so it relies on what is there... which is what exactly? I mean, I understand that religion relies on presumptions, its just, what is the foundational concept(s) behind concluding that there is, in fact, no god(s)?

"what exactly is it that athiesm would rely on?"
what's actually there and not just presumed to be there.

"someone just told you then believed him right away without verifying? that's very scientific. ")"
Call me crazy, but "ball" doesn't exactly seem like the incredibly technical word that would be added thousands of years later.
"i believe madhatter0719 was the one who misspelled "seperate". not you, unless... ")"
Yes, i confess i accidentally typed separate wrong. You're point?

If religions rely on faith, and solely that, I believe as someone said earlier, "blind faith", what exactly is it that athiesm would rely on?

Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able?
Then he is not omnipotent.
Is he able, but not willing?
Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able and willing?
Then whence cometh evil?
Is he neither able nor willing?
Then why call him God? - Epicurus |
