i read somewhere that when gma bought the idol franchise, they explicitly said that they will not honor mau marcelo's win. that's the reason for the tagline "first pinoy idol".

sayang..big hit ang philippine idol..from abc5 sana nilipat na lang sa channel 2..sayang at pinalitan pa ng "pinoy" eh mas bagay nga ung philippine idol..sana maging maganda to..kaso dumating na ang pinoy dream academy..which reall has load of talents than this one..and magagaling pa ang judges where we can really get lessons na pwede mong maafford sa mga mahal na voice lessons.. sabi nga ni diezynueve69, i don't think it's too late..hay..bansa natin ang nirerepresent ng mananalo..

alam nyo sa lahat ng mga naninira...bakit wala kayong kakuntentuhan...pati kapwa nyo pilipino nagagwa nyong laitin paslamat na lng kayo marami tayong magagaling na singers na gagawin ang lahat para sumikat...kayo-kayo din kac nagsisiraan kaya hindi tayo umunlad unlad...tpos iicocompare nyo pa ung american idol sa pinoy idol....ALAM NYO BNG ANG PRODUCTION MANAGER NG AMERICAN IDOL ANG NAGDEDECIDE KUNG CNO ANG DAPAT MAGING JUDGE AT HOST..kaya hnd nyo masisisi ang GMA7 ganun ang RULES sa FRANCHISE

I hope GMA does something about this...I don't think it's too late. The technical aspect, particularly, leaves much to be desired.

This version doesn't hold a candle to ABC 5's Philippine Idol. Check Phil. Idol clips for yourself & you'll see how way inferior Pinoy Idol is...& to think that much is expected of us (Pinoy Idol is aired in the States, right?) after Charice's & Arnel's feats!

well, those judges of pinoy idol is not worth to be the credible judges. Wala naman silang narating so far especially jolina. Maryusep hanggang sop lang yan at pang bathroom lang boses nya. konting taas pa ng nota titilaok na yan...And the show itself, walang kadating-dating. Yung host(raymund), mas marami pang magaling sa kanya.
